If you are using Quicken for Mac 2004 or before, then you can not use the special 2007 version for Lion. The software update contains important fixes and enhancements that may impact you. A restart of the program may be necessary. This issue occurs when the Enter without decimal point preference setting is enabled (Quicken menu > Preferences > Register > Enter amounts without the decimal point).Turn this option off until Quicken is able to fix the problem. If there is an update available, you will get a dialog box with what is included in the latest release and the option to: Skip This Version - This is not recommended. This is a known issue with the update 16.1.2 for Quicken Mac 2007. Quicken for Mac 2007, Quicken Essentials for Mac, and Banktivity. Even better: I would eventually like to move my database to QuickBooks for Mac since I use that product for my business already. Select the Quicken menu > Check for Updates. Updates to Quicken for Mac were sporadic at best until Intuit sold the software to. My preference would be to move to QM2015 with my database intact. I have purchased the Quicken for Mac 2015 but I have not yet tested it on Yosemite. There have also been some minor bug fixes released by Intuit for this special version. While this is admittedly NOT an ideal solution, it did migrate my database (since 1990) to Lion, then Mountain Lion, and then Mavericks. New Quicken customers should choose Quicken Essentials for Mac to get started. This version is ideal for Quicken for Mac customers who use Apples latest operating system OS X Lion.
